My name is TJ Mundy, and I use they/them pronouns.
LOVING YOU QUIETLY allows me to freely share my experience as a black, trans, queer, and neurodivergent person, trying to exist.
I am anti-disciplinarian, which lets me ignore the boundaries and rules of art. In my abstract practice, I use vibrant colors, weighted lines, and automatic/intuitive movements to create freeflowing linework and asemic writing. In my digital work, I am bold, direct, using bright eye-catching colors and imagery to express the immediacy and importance of the issues I’m conveying.
Through my art, I want to capture the complex experiences of existing in this body, shedding light on the beauty and challenges that come with it. When you see my art, take what you want or need. Don’t let me or anyone else tell you what to think or feel.
